We have evolved into Electronic Fuel Injection EFI with the all new bottom to top completely redesigned 800 Polaris Liberty Engine. Polaris has really done a great job refining the design of this incredible new powerplant. It has 4 fuel injectors, 2 located in the crankcase and 1 in each cylinder transfer port area. The injectors in the crankcase deliver fuel at idle and high RPM and the ones in the transfer ports deliver at low and mid engine speeds. This is a big deal, because there are inherent advantages to where you introduce the fuel in a 2 stroke engine in relation to RPM. A nice set of 48 MM throttle bodies deliver the air. This engine is very strong: from the large bearing crankshaft to the monocylinder design, it is built for durability and longevity. In bone stock form, this engine produces the most horsepower of any 800 on the market. With CMX enhancements it is even better. The power delivery is electric motor smooth from bottom to top.
