Swedish Brake Technology AB develops, manufactures and market products and systems for trucks, trailers and buses. The company’s automatic brake adjusters result in less service costs, longer operation time and better brake function, which contributes to safer traffic. The aim was to build ”intelligence” into the brake mechanism, so that the brakes automatically adjust to compensate for the gradual wear of the brake lining and brake pads. This would result in a more even brake effect and therefore higher traffic safety, longer life of the brakes, fewer visits to the workshop and therefore bigger usage of the vehicle fleet.
